THE HEALTH AND WELLNESS TEAM

Dr. Jamal is our Medical Director.  

He was born and raised in the GTA and currently lives in Oakville, where he has been working since 2006.

Dr. Jamal attended the University of Guelph on the President's Scholarship where he studied Biological Engineering and Biological Science. He was accepted to McMaster Medical School at the age of 21. Dr. Jamal completed his Residency in Family Medicine at McMaster University, where he was selected to be Chief Resident. 

Upon graduating, he joined the Hospitalist group at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH), where he has been treating acute-care, surgical, oncology, palliative care, and mental health patients for over 18 years. During his time at Oakville Hospital, Dr. Jamal has taken on many leadership positions. In 2021, he was voted by the medical doctors at Halton Healthcare to serve as their Professional Staff Association President. His passion for leadership opportunities led him to Harvard University, where he pursued extra training in Leadership in Healthcare Innovation. He also trained at the Institute of Functional Medicine, where he studied alternative and natural approaches to medical management. In 2008, he was appointed Assistant Clinical Professor, McMaster University Department of Family Medicine and received the honour of Post Graduate Medical Education Faculty Mentor of the year in 2019. In 2021, he received a Certificate in Health Law from Osgoode Law School. 

Dr. Jamal is a former Board member of Halton Healthcare and the Oakville Hospital Foundation. In addition to his work at OTMH, he was a Preventative Health Physician at Cleveland Clinic Canada and National Medical Director at Teladoc Health. 

 Dr. Jamal is excited to be a part of Iasis Health Management and is looking forward to bringing his experience to the team.   

Marina Zelenovic is our Wellness Director.  

She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, is a Doctor of Natural Medicine, Certified and Registered Nutritional Practitioner and is a Certified Pilates Instructor. Marina is also an accomplished writer, authoring three books;

Marina started her career with offices in both Toronto and New York City. In Toronto, her focus was on athletes, which included members of the CFL, NHL, MLB, and Olympic athletes; while her New York City clientele included top-level executives and celebrities in the fashion world. As of late, her focus has been working with many high profile executives in the GTA. 

Marina is also a frequent nutrition expert on City TV and various television programs, as well as at health conferences and seminars. After overcoming her own health issues, Marina dedicated herself to helping her clients regain control of their health through personalized consultations, individualized diet, supplement, and lifestyle protocols. She combines Eastern and Western dietary theory with the practical realities of daily life. She spends a great deal of time educating clients on simple cooking and lifestyle techniques to empower them to make lasting changes.

Dr. Johnstone is our Concierge Medicine Physician.

She was born and raised in the west end of Toronto and completed her undergraduate degree in Physical Education at McMaster University.  She went on to complete her Doctor of Medicine at McMaster University. Dr. Johnstone completed her Family Medicine Residency in Winnipeg and practiced Family and Emergency Medicine in rural northern Ontario for five years.

In 2005 Dr. Johnstone was accepted into the Masters of Health Service Management program at the University of New South Wales in Sydney Australia. She completed her degree in 2006 and remained in Australia practicing Family Medicine and Executive Health.

In 2012 Dr. Johnstone accepted the senior leadership position of Director of Medical Operations at Cleveland Clinic Canada. She has conducted 1000+ Executive Health Exams. This includes concierge health management to NBA, NHL, Government officials, and C-Suite clients. Dr. Johnstone also managed a large team of physicians and allied health professionals in her role as Medical Director. Dr. Johnstone played a significant role in building the Executive Health Program at Cleveland Clinic Canada. 

In her spare time, Dr. Johnstone enjoys cooking, piano, reading, attending sporting events with her fiancé Darrell, and of course, quality time with their two cats, Faith and Grace.

Dr. Johnstone is excited to join the IHM team bringing years of experience building world- renowned Executive Health clinics.

Dr. Shoba is our Quality Improvement Physician Lead. 

She completed her medical degree at the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom and received her Royal College of Physicians MRCP designation in 2010. She trained in renowned hospitals like Glasgow Royal Infirmary and University Hospital of Wales in the UK. In 2014, she was awarded a Diploma in Dermatology from the Institute of Dermatology, Queensland, Australia.  She continued her medical training in Dermatology at the Aesthetic Academy of Asia where she obtained her Professional Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine in 2017. 

Dr. Shoba was the Medical Director of the Dharan Specialist Clinic and an Internal Medicine Specialist at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Malaysia.  She also tutored medical students from Taylor Medical University and Glasgow Royal Infirmary in the UK.  

Dr. Shoba brings 15+ years of clinical leadership and international medical expertise.  She provides clinical oversight, best practice chart reviews, and clinical support to the IHM Team.  

She is currently completing her Masters of Health Administration at the Telfer School of Management University of Ottawa. She is also accepted into the Executive MBA program at Ivy School of Business at Western University. 

Jennifer is our Director of Rehabilitation.  

With over 20 years of orthopedic, neurologic, and sports injuries experience, Jennifer Luckanuck has developed a valued trust with some of the best orthopedic surgeons in Canada. Jennifer graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology, specializing in Sports Injuries. As a varsity rugby team trainer, she worked closely with the University of Western Athletic Department Physicians. She then attended McMaster University for her second Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy. Upon practicing OT in the United States for two years, she returned to the University of Toronto for her third bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. However, Jennifer's pursuit of academic excellence did not stop there. She completed her Masters's in Health Care Management from the University of Toronto in 2008. Jennifer has experience in outpatient orthopedic settings with sports Physicians, and in all areas of inpatient hospital care, including neurological, geriatric, and orthopedic rehabilitation.  

Jennifer holds certificates in Myofascial Release (MFR), Kinesiotaping, Restorative Yoga, Spine Mackenzie Certification A, B, C, and Motor Relearning and Neurodevelopmental ( NDT) Certificates. 

Having worked at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for over 22 years as a rehabilitation physiotherapist, she brings the understanding and expertise that the IHM team is excited to offer their clients.
